Max Early at the 2019 Santa Fe Indian Market.

It’s been 101 years since the School of American Research (SAR) coordinated the first Santa Fe Indian Market, then called the Southwest Indian Fair. SAR encourages you to attend the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA)’s 2023 Santa Fe Indian Market from August 18-20, 2023 where over thirty past SAR Artist Fellows are showing their work either in booths, fashion shows, or artist receptions.

2022 Rollin and Mary Ella King Fellow Orlando Dugi is one of seven premier designers at the Indigenous Fashion Show on Sunday, August 20 from 12:30 to 5:30 pm in the Santa Fe Community Center Ballroom. For more information, select Indigenous Fashion Show.

The full schedule is available online at 2023 Santa Fe Indian Market Schedule of Events.

With us this fall as a resident artist and currently featured as part of the Grounded in Clay exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Michael Namingha will show his work along with father Dan Namingha and brother Arlo Namingha at their family gallery on Lincoln Avenue, Niman Fine Art, with an opening reception in honor of Santa Fe Indian Market on Friday, August 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Listed below are the booth locations of previous SAR Native Artist Fellows. Please stop by and say hello! 2023 Santa Fe Indian Market map.
