PRIVACY POLICY

The School for Advanced Research (SAR) respects your privacy and observes both New Mexico and federal privacy laws. SAR has a strict policy that we will not sell, share, or trade your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, or any other information about you to a third party. We also strive to prevent you from receiving unsolicited information from us.

We do not collect personally identifying information when you visit our web pages unless you choose to provide such information. SAR utilizes security measures that protect against the loss or misuse of information, including financial data, and security is routinely monitored and upgraded to ensure that our standards and practices protect against unauthorized access.

Financial information provided by donors, members, or for purchases of SAR merchandise or books, either in person or on our secure website, is not retained by SAR staff for any reason. SAR uses Blackbaud software to process payments for online purchases or donations. This service encrypts personal and credit card information during all transactions and sends an automated confirmation email to the purchaser.

For data collection purposes, we utilize analytical software that monitors users’ geographic location, domain names, access times, and the referring websites that visitors use to access SAR’s web pages. We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We may compile aggregate statistics and provide them to third parties, but we do not include information that identifies individual website users. This technology does not allow for access to personal or identifying information and is used strictly for website traffic analysis in order to lead to a more productive browsing experience for our users.
