Warren Montoya

Warren Montoya is a painter and sculptor from Tamaya (Santa Ana Pueblo) and Kha’Po Owingeh (Santa Clara Pueblo.) During his time at SAR, Montoya has been working on an installation. The installation represents various natural concepts such as the elements, directions and seasons and speaks to how our human existence is connected to and influenced by certain properties of this world, and by one another. Join the School for Advanced Research on November 16 to hear about his experience as the 2017 Rollin and Mary Ella King Native Artist Fellow. The evening will conclude with a visit to the Dubin Studio to see Montoya’s work.
