Speaker: Dr Tessie Naranjo, independant scholar
The history of Native women in the arts is vast and enormously complex. In this
lecture, SAR has invited Nora Naranjo Morse’s sister Dr. Tessie Naranjo to touch on significant points that help define the history of Native women in the arts including: generational communication, art in the everyday, and fundamental values; through the lens of her highly accomplished and artistic family, the Naranjos of Santa Clara Pueblo.
