Gordon Lee Johnson, SAR’s 2017 Indigenous Writer in Residence, will read from and discuss the book he has been refining during his residency. His Rez-noir book, Dog Eyes, infuses a meat-and-potatoes mystery with real-life Native concerns. For much of his writing career, Johnson worked as columnist and feature writer for the Riverside Press-Enterprise. He transitioned to full-time fiction writing ten years ago, publishing two books of essays about life on the reservation. A reception to meet the artist will be held immediately following the presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Generous support provided by Lannan Foundation.
