President’s Circle Virtual Happy Hour with Archaeologist Stephen Post

March 21 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

President’s Circle Virtual Happy Hour

“An Archaeological and Historical Perspective on the 300-Year Evolution of Southeast Santa Fe” with Stephen Post

Members of the President’s Circle and Legacy Circle are cordially invited to attend a Virtual Happy Hour with President Michael F. Brown and archaeologist Stephen Post.

Living and working in Southeast Santa Fe for the last forty years has fueled Stephen’s interest in the history of its land use and development as a neighborhood. Spanish land grants, the Santa Fe Trail, and Martha Root White and Amelia Elizabeth White have played important roles in creating the unique character of Southeast Santa Fe. Stephen will share some of what he has learned from historical records and archaeological evidence that remain from 300 years of interactions between people and the land as Santa Fe grew from a villa on the northern fringes of New Spain into the capital of the territory and state of New Mexico.

This event is free and open to members of the President’s Circle and Legacy Circle. Please RSVP to Lindsay Archuleta at archuleta@sarsf.org, and she will send you the instructions to join via Zoom. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
