IARC Native Artist Fellow, Nanibaa Beck, Appears on Spencer Beckwith On the Arts
“[There is] an ongoing conversation about modern versus traditional jewelry, especially in the way that it connects with Native American arts in general… The way that I want to think about traditional is the way the I myself interpret it: continuous.” Nanibaa Beck
Navajo metalsmith, Nanibaa Beck is the IARC 2018 Ronald and Susan Dubin Native artist fellow. She was recently interviewed by Spencer Beckwith for his show, On the Arts. The two explore Beck’s Language Collection series and reflect on Beck’s time at SAR.
Nanibaa Beck will give an artist talk with a reception and studio tour SAR on Thursday, August 9th (5:30 pm – 7:00 pm). Learn more here.
Thank you Spencer Beckwith and KUNM for the opportunity to share the work
