SAR has teamed up with the Santa Fe Community Foundation to offer donors the ability to establish charitable gift annuities, allowing supporters to make a gift to SAR and still receive an income for themselves or others.

A charitable gift annuity (CGA) is a contract under which a charity, in return for a transfer of cash or other property, agrees to pay a fixed sum of money for a period measured by one or two lives. Payments from a CGA are fixed from the outset, and the amount depends on the value of the contribution; the number of annuitants; the age(s) of the annuitant(s), and the rate set by the charity.

CGAs can be funded with gifts of cash or marketable securities valued at $25,000 or more. (Additional contracts for the same beneficiaries may be entered into for $10,000 or more.) Beneficiaries must be age 65 or older when annuity payments begin. Up to two beneficiaries may be named in each contract.

If you have been considering setting up a gift annuity to benefit SAR and yourself or your loved ones, please contact Lindsay Archuleta at (505) 954-7231 or archuleta@sarsf.org
