2011–2012 Annual Review—“Soul Food”
Welcome to the 2011–2012 digital edition of our Annual Review, which encompasses the past year’s programs and activities. Inside these pages you will find in-depth reporting and multimedia content on our scholars, artists, seminars, publications, and public programs, as well as some surprises related to our theme of “Soul Food.” This theme signals our commitment, contained in our core values, that the knowledge we produce will speak, whenever possible, to the full range of our diverse constituencies, and that we seek to address problems of urgent social consequence and to free the human mind and spirit through creative expression.
This is an exciting venture for SAR as we continue to explore the vast possibilities of digital media. We invite you to explore SAR’s “Soul Food” online—then tell us what you think about the new format. And make sure to click the “Recipes” link...another form of human nourishment will be found there.
