Beverley Spears has walked a one-mile stretch of the Arroyo de los Chamisos for the past twenty years. She has noted and documented with charts and photographs the multitude of wildflowers there as well as considered the hydrology and conservation of this landscape. This 43-acre site of flood plain and uplands is a biological treasure within the heart of Santa Fe. Beverley Spears is an award-winning architect who has practiced in Santa Fe for over 35 years, and is author of American Adobes and Sand River in Bloom.
