New Books, New Translations, New Editions by SAR Alumni

Advanced Seminar Alumnae Susan Seymour and Jean M. Pitzer recently published a biography on Cora du Bois with the University of Nebraska Press.  Cora du Bois: Anthropologist, Diplomat, Agent spans the life of a remarkable woman who was not only a renowned anthropologist, but, also, a spy during WWII and a formidable opponent of Senator McCarthy. 

David Grant Noble, 2003 Ethel-Jane Westfeldt Bunting Summer Scholar, writer and photographer has   just published the fourth edition of his book,  Ancient Ruins and Rock Art of the Southwest: An Archaeological Guide, Fourth Edition with Rowman & Littlefield, publishers.  The new edition includes updated text and more information on newly opened archaeological sites.

SAR president, Michael F. Brown’s book, Upriver: The Turbulent Life and Times of an Amazonian People, has just been translated into German.
