Senses of Place – SAR 2021 Summer Series

Over the summer of 2021, the School for Advanced Research presented Senses of Place, a summer series of online discussions exploring the cultural significance of place.

Over four events, speakers offered new insights on the connections between diverse cultures, and illustrated how place impacts the spaces created by cultures living in unique environments and historical circumstances.

A special thank you to Terra 2022, for including Senses of Place as part of their year-long virtual lead-up event series. Lead-up events presented the richness and diversity of earthen architectural heritage around the world, the individuals and organizations working in the sector, and the communities who care for this heritage and its traditions.
