Native American vintage jewelry, historic Plains beadwork, blankets and pottery

Don Siegel has been a collector and dealer of Historic Native Art for more than 40 years.  Many pieces from his private collection have been on display at the Chicago Field Museum show entitled “Apsáalooke Women and Warriors” currently traveling around the country and opening this Spring at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. He specializes in one-of-a-kind Historic Period Southwest Jewelry dating circa 1890-1940 and donates all profits to Native Scholarship programs, social justice causes and non-profits.  Don is active on a number of boards including the School for Advanced Research and currently resides with his wife Liza in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Navajo rugs and weavings

Mark Winter has been involved in collecting and dealing in Navajo textiles since 1970. He helped to assemble The Durango Collection with H. Jackson Clark which toured United States museums from 1979 and was eventually gifted in 2000 to the Center of Southwest studies at Fort Lewis college in Durango. He has advised museums, private collections and Sotheby’s in New York City throughout his career. He has lectured extensively at museums, colleges and universities as well as special symposiums. Select items from his collection are currently involved in four different museum exhibits, including the New Mexico History museum in Santa Fe. He currently resides on the Navajo reservation with his wife Linda and is involved in working with contemporary Navajo weavers.

Chipeta Trading Company and Toadlena Trading Post will generously donate a significant percentage of the profits from the sales on these two days to support the School for Advanced Research.
