Join SAR for a virtual artist talk and a live Q&A with SAR’s 2021 Rollin and Mary Ella King Native artist fellow, Brandon Adriano Ortiz-Concha.

Ortiz-Concha is a micaceous potter from Taos Pueblo and is also a formally trained architect. While at SAR, he has been experimenting with micaceous clay in a variety of ways to better understand the “uncontrollable forces which imprint carbon concentrated clouds on the walls of a pot during its firing.” This project is titled: Conversations with Clouds.

Join us as Ortiz-Concha talks about his work and time as the 2021 Rollin and Mary Ella King Native Artist Fellow.
