SAR Historic Campus Tour

November 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free - $15.00
Visit an historic Santa Fe property and learn about its 1920s history and its current mission as the School for Advanced Research

The Campus Tour tells the three stories of the School for Advanced Research (SAR): the organization, the Indian arts collection, and the campus. The nineteen-acre campus on Santa Fe’s historic East Side includes about a dozen buildings dating from the early 1900s to the 1990s. Features include buildings, designed by three prominent Santa Fe architects, a gazebo designed by John Gaw Meem, a billiard house, a dog kennel turned into an archaeology lab and press building, and artworks by Native artists and notable Santa Fe neighbors including Gustave Baumann. Today, SAR is a nexus of scholars, artists, creative thinkers, and curious learners.

Tours run 1.5 to 2 hours.

Tours are $15.00/per person.

Special Discounts

  • SAR members attend tours for free.
  • EBT cardholders access $3.00 tickets.
