Appraisal Event Draws Crowd at School for Advanced Research

“The choking odor of mothballs filled the adobe administration building of the School for Advanced Research on Saturday, as New Mexicans from near and far filed in with antique treasures, many dating back further than the 90-year-old campus itself. Throughout the afternoon, more than 100 people came to the historic east-side complex, toting jewelry and artwork and textiles for appraisal by Wes Cowan, an anthropologist of Antiques Roadshow and History Detectives fame, and his team from Cincinnati.”
