Previous King Fellows
Established in 2001, the
Rollin and Mary Ella King fellowship seeks to advance Southwestern
contemporary and traditional Native arts by encouraging distinguished
artists in the visual, written, or performing arts. The fellowship
supports artists who wish to cultivate new knowledge and skills
and improve on their existing abilities, as well as excel in creative
expression.
The King fellowship runs from September
to December. Each fellow resides on campus in the King residence
and works in the Dubin studio during his or her time here. IARC
provides fellows with a stipend, housing, and time free from daily
and financial pressures so that they can spend concentrated periods
of time on their artwork and study the collections here.
