Former SAR Resident Scholar, J.I. Staley Prize Winner and Board Member, Steven Feld, Produces New Documentary

Dr. Steven Feld and his colleague, Nii Yemo Nunu, have just released a DVD containing two films of their work in Accra, Ghana. The films document the intertwined histories of colonial-era lorry drivers, their vehicles and the invention of Por Por music. Congratulations to Dr. Feld and Nii Yemo Nunu!

2012 SAR Summer Fellow, Peggy Levitt Publishes New Book

Dr. Peggy Levitt was a summer scholar in 2012, during which time she worked on the project that recently resulted in the publication of her new book Artifacts and Allegiances: How Museums Put the Nation and the World on Display (University of California Press, 2015).
