In recognition of Eric S. Dobkin’s nearly two decades of service and extraordinary generosity to SAR, on August 15, 2015, the board of directors formally named the SAR board room the “Eric S. Dobkin Board Room.” A plaque memorializing this honor will be installed sometime this fall.

Dobkin is an advisory director to the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., and chairman emeritus of Global Equity Capital Markets. In addition to his distinguished service as an SAR director, Dobkin is a member of the Board of Governors of The Museum of Arts and Design in New York. He lives with his wife, Barbara, in Pound Ridge and Manhattan, New York. Since 2001, Eric and Barbara Dobkin have supported one of SAR’s Native Artist positions, the Eric and Barbara Dobkin Native Artist Fellowship for Women.
