SAR Alumni Continue to Rack Up Awards and Recognition

Paul Stoller, 1992-1993 National Endowment for the Humanities Resident Scholar, is being honored this year with the 2015 American Anthropological Association Anthropology in the Media Award. Dr. Stoller has published numerous books, articles and papers and is a featured columnist with the Huffington Post and frequent commentator on National Public Radio.

Debra L. Martin, 1991-1992 Weatherhead Resident Scholar, is being honored with the 2015 AAA/Oxford University Press Award for Teaching. Dr. Martin received her Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is currently the Barrick Distinguished Scholar, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Las Vegas.

Jamila Bargach, 2010-2011 Campbell Resident Scholar, is featured in a piece in the American Scholar. Dr. Bargach is the director of Dar Si Hmad, an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Morocco through sustainable development projects while promoting and preserving local culture, history, and heritage.
