John S. Catron

John S. Catron received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Mexico Law School in 1951. He was an Assistant District Attorney in the Fourth Judicial District of New Mexico from his graduation until 1953. Since then, he has been in the private practice of law with the Santa Fe law firm of Catron, Catron, and Pottow, P.A. He has served on various New Mexico Supreme Court and State Bar Committees, on the Bioethics Committee at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and as an officer and director of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society. He served as Chairman of the Board of Managers of SAR from 1994–1997
He is also occasionally seen in a stream with a fly rod.
