John R. Camp is an author and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. He has 43 published novels, all of which have appeared on the New York Times best-seller lists. He has also written books on art and plastic surgery and continues to write online articles on painting and photography. His interest in archeology led him to become a backer (and digger and dig photographer for twelve years of summer seasons) at the Beth-Shean Valley Archeological Project in the Jordan River Valley of Israel. Camp began his journalism career as an Army reporter and went on to work for The Miami Herald and the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. A Pulitzer finalist for a series on Native American culture, he won the prize in 1986 for a series entitled “Life on the Land: An American Farm Family.”
